Cotton Cloud Refuses to Rain

Cotton is a cloud with a mission: to keep people happy. She asks the other clouds for advice but refuses to do one thing—rain on anyone's sunny day. She watches the people below her as they enjoy the sunshine and tend their gardens. But one day, the water runs out and the land dries up. Cotton begins to cry, sending rain to everyone who needed it, and realizing that no one can enjoy sunshine all the time. This humorous picture book has a strong message about the environment as well as social and emotional learning skills. Readers will also learn about different kinds of clouds and the water cycle through charming illustrations.
